I found it particularly interesting because I have worked in call centers, and I was struck by the apparent similarity in the job even across the world. In the US, call center workers often become burned out quickly, for the same reasons. Customers used to call screaming for no apparent reason, and sometimes I felt more like a therapist than a support technician.
